Anshul Ketan Kothari won his first ever international gold medal as a part of the Indian team that won the 4 x 100 m freestyle relay event at the Asian age group swimming championship held in Jakarta, Indonesia, recently. The team, consisting of Veedhawal Khade, Anshul Kothari, Aaron D'Souza and Rehan Poncha clocked an impressive 2.07.19 minutes.
Earlier Anshul represented India at the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games, both in 2010, and also won a number of medals at national events. This was his first international triumph.
